Hey y’all! My name is Matt Lovgren. I grew up in the booming metropolis of Forest Lake, Minnesota, graduated from Forest Lake Sr. High School in 2002 and then went of to college.  I started at St. Cloud State University where I was pursuing a degree in aviation.  I actually got my private pilots license!  After one year of school there I transferred to Saint John’s University.

I always had wanted to fly planes but I felt I was being called to work with youth.  This is when I decided to get a degree in Elementary Education.  After graduation I decided to go teach 5th and 6th grade in London, England for 4 months. 

After many travels, living and teaching abroad I have found my way back to Forest Lake where I feel completely blessed to be working for Hosanna Lutheran Church.  While teaching in London there was always the feeling that I was being called back to youth ministry.  It’s so incredible that when we think we have life sorted out God always has a greater and deeper plan for us if we just let Him be our guiding light.  I am truly excited to get to spend more time with all of you so be sure to stop by and say, “Hi!”
